Temple Wat Chotynieng Leu Sihanoukville Cambodia

History of Sihanoukville is very short. The port town and 230 kilometers road to Phnom Penh was built between 1954 - 60.

The first deep water port town in Cambodia was named in honour of the king Norodom Sihanouk.

Wat Chotynieng is situated on the top of Sihanoukville Mountain .

The hill Pagoda stays 132 meters above sea level.

There is calm mood. The temple yard is packed with statues of Ruusi, Buddha, Krishna.

The young novices like to spend time at huge pool.

The horde of monkeys watching every step of the novices.

There are only 3 Pagodas, 1 Catholic church and 1 Mosque in the city of almost 200 000 inhabitants.
