Chinese Temple Cheng Hoon Teng in Malacca.

Cheng Hoon Teng temple was build as a complex of several prayer halls. It is the oldest functioning temple in Malaysia.

Cheng Hoon Teng's architecture shows the skills of Chinese builders and craftsmen from Fujian and Guandong.

The temple conforms to the principles of feng shui.

Cheng Hoon Teng was built in 1645 by Kapitan Lee Wei King.


The complex served as the main place of worship for the local Hokkien community.
