You enter a historical chamber visiting Wat Si Saket. The temple built 200 years ago remains in original shape. The atmosphere of nostalgia dominates the complex.

It is hard to guess that Wat Si Saket was already restored. The French authorities led renovation works in 1930.

Wat Si Saket's cloister wall is well packed with 2000 images of Buddha.

The Buddha images of bronze, stone and silver are cast or sculpted in Lao style.

Most of the Buddha images are from 19th century. Some statues are broken or part - melted. The damages occured during the 1828 Siamese-Lao war.

The door's reliefs are fading.

Tripitaka library with a five level roof is empty. The books that were once stored here are moved to Bangkok.
