Boats on Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Thailand

Chao Phraya is only 370 km long, but the river crossing Bangkok is majestic and wide.

Hundreds boats of different size and shape anchor along river's bank.

Bangkok's water transport network is well developed. There is 21 km route served by 70 boats of Chao Phraya Express Boat. Boat company operates some lines and you can catch their boat in 38 piers.


Privates and charter boats offer service for small tourist groups. The biggest Jambo vessels have 120 seats and provide connection between Bangkok and Ayutthaya.


Supatra boats with teak seats and capacity of 50 people cruise with speed 15 knots.
