Sentimental journey in South Germany

Dornstetten located in Black Forest was not added accidental to my route. It is a town where I have lived for 3 years.

I must admit, nothing ever does not changed here, although a quarter of century has passed.

The same pharmacy.

The building of Sparkasse where I had an account looks identical like in 1988.

The view in district Aach.

The three family house where I lived until 1991.

I leave Dornstetten and continue my trip to Freudenstadt.

Dornstetten in Schwarzwald

We get out from Autobahn 91 at Horb am Neckar exit.

We are already in Northern Schwarzwald. At the intersection before the bridge over Neckar river we turn on right and follow the signs to Freudenstadt town.

We enter town of Dornstetten after 18 km.

The first two hours of parking on the main street is free.

Dornstetten was founded in 8th century and received the city rights in 13th century.

The town of eight thousand inhabitants is famous for its half- timbered houses.

Most preserved to this day houses comes from the turn of 17th and 18th century.

We make decision to get a snack at local bakery.
Good cappuccino and huge bun with sweet icing. ( ein Schnecker mit Zuckerguss for 3.60 euros )

Vineyards in Heilbronn

Heilbronn in Baden-Wurttemberg is famous for its wine production. The first vineyards were established in this area in Roman time.
In November, after harvest, the vineyards present themselves in a wide range of colors.
